Patients with esophageal cancer each year can reach 400,000 people. Inefficient screening methods and worsening symptoms, patients often come late. Squamous cell carcinoma, which is the cause of cancer, has percentage 84% all incidences. So far, current strategy endoscopy biopsy. This main side effect bleeding in metaplastic area. Cellulose Sponge, Detector Esophageal Cancer (CaSPER), be used for without a biopsy using cellulose sponge. The method this mini review an evidence-based that focuses on evaluating pre-existing journals. result CaSPER able to provide strong cellular results 98%, specificity 100%, sensitivity 97%. Capsules made glucose cytosponge will bring cells feasible, safe, comfortable, effects. Using trefoil factor 3 as biomarker distinguish between goblet pseudogoblet cells. minimally invasive, cheaper, easily accepted, so future it hoped mass produced, especially areas high cancer.
